ExCeL London Joins the Halo Community
7th March 2023
Internationally-recognised venue ExCeL London will enhance venue safety & security by integrating the Halo System in a new long-term training and software partnership.

Our recently agreed partnership includes full onboarding of the Halo System, as well as a unique Major Incident training programme delivered by the Halo team on site at ExCeL.
We are honoured to announce that the Halo System has been integrated across ExCeL London's vast 100,000m2 site. Here, Halo will support security and site teams to link key information with controllers, strengthening the venue’s existing high-level operations and event management.
ExCeL London is one of the UK’s leading venues hosting major B2B and B2C events year round, from the forthcoming Star Wars Celebration (7-10 April) to the recent ICE London, which attracted 40,000 delegates!
Halo provides live-action updates on all incidents, tasks and venue checks, seamlessly linking together site staff, security contractors and key stakeholders into one platform.
The partnership will also include a number of training exercises from Halo's team of counter-terrorism experts, the first of which was attended by more than 250 external contractors and security personnel in February.
Henry Havis, Head of Security at ExCeL and Chair of the AEV's Security Working Group, said: “As London’s largest venue hosting 400 events and welcoming some four million visitors a year, the safety and security of everyone who comes through our doors remains our utmost priority.
Our new partnership with Halo Solutions is the latest in a line of measures we’ve taken to further enhance this, together with extensive training for not only our in-house team, but also external companies, contractors and personnel that work in and around our venue.”

Lloyd Major, CEO & Founder of Halo Solutions, added: “Working with the team at ExCeL is a hugely significant milestone. Their venue is undoubtedly one of the largest and most high profile in the UK. It has been a great pleasure learning more from the team and their ambitious visions with regards to crowd safety, security, and guest experience.
We are proud the Halo System will now be helping to support achieving these goals.”

The landmark deal sees the Halo System to continue to expand in the public safety industry, where it will now help protect an additional 4 million people each year at ExCeL London. Halo v5 - rolled out across the mega-venue - includes bumper features and integrations in accreditation, sustainability, crowd management and live video feed and drone integrations, to add to its various functions and features in incident, task and staff management.
We look forward to announcing more on the exciting partnership with ExCeL London in the near future.
